Safety is of paramount importance to Blythewood and as such all equipment is carefully evaluated before purchase for both reliability and safety features.

All equipment is thoroughly checked before each hire and strict records are kept for every
item of equipment listing all of its services, electrical tests and checks.

All Blythewood employees undergo various training courses many of them revolving
around health and safety and as such  can offer free advice and safety demonstrations when an item of equipment is hired.

We also offer a wide range of Personal Protective Equipment and again can offer free advice on the various items which should be used or worn when using a particular item
of equipment.

To verify this we remain one of only a small band of exclusive companies to have achieved
SAFE HIRE certification.

This award is independently accredited by the Hire Association Europe following a comprehensive multi-depot audit.


Being a member company of Doyle Plc, Blythewood have the benefit of a dedicated safety department which they can utilise regarding Health Safety and Welfare issues. This Department is headed by the Group Health, Safety and Welfare Director Terry Casbolt.
